This full-time CIC construction coordination role comes with a salary of up to £54,420.16 with excellent benefits including car or car allowance.

Our role

We have an exciting opportunity for a competition in connections (CIC) Construction Coordinator to join our Business Connections Minor Works team to manage the successful delivery of ICP/IDNO projects involving non contestable and contestable works within the ENWL region.

As a CIC Construction Coordinator, you will be responsible for the construction support and monitoring of ICP/IDNO’s design approved schemes. You will support the ENWL Asset Adoption team during the construction phase and be a key contact for the relevant ICP/IDNO.

Day to day you will:

  • Liaising with the Asset Adoption team dealing with communication relating to the Live Working Regime.
  • Receive, review and monitor scheme handovers.
  • Approve Appendix A & B requests from ICP/IDNO’s,
  • Contact the ICP’s/IDNO’s to establish what their delivery programme entails; log key dates and manage their construction expectations.
  • Familiarise themselves with the design approved documents and location of schemes.
  • Managing ICP/IDNO whereabouts and arranging compliance visits.
  • Prepare and present forward planning programmes of the works to be executed by each stakeholder in the connection process which are specific to energisation.
  • Manage project specific issues ensuring works are completed in line with the ICP/IDNO’s expectations, identifying arrears of poor performance and provide recommendations of resolution.
  • Ensure ICP/IDNO’s contestable installations are completed are in line with Electricity North West’s COP’s. policies and procedures.
  • Ensure ENWL standards of health and safety are maintained in line with company and HSE regulations through periodic site inspections.
  • Ensure ENWL systems are accurately updated capturing information relating to each scheme.
  • Monitor and advance the service to ICP/IDNO’s to improve Customer satisfaction, ensuring minimum disruption to our customers, minimal complaints and improved interaction with ICP/IDNO’s on site;
  • Answer technical queries raised by the ICP/IDNO’s and providing solutions where required by interacting with design approval engineers, if required.
  • Provide a monthly report to the WLT.

We’d like to hear from you if you:

  • Hold a minimum of an HNC level qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable);
  • Hold a minimum of a ENWL LV Operational Authorisation (desirable);
  • Hold or be willing to work to a ENWL HV Operational Authorisation (SAP);
  • Have knowledge of technical and regulatory codes of practice.
  • Have experience of health and safety compliance.
  • Have proven programming and planning skills.
  • Have proven report writing skills.
  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Have excellent customer relationship and engagement skills.
  • Have proven influencing skills.
  • Have experience working within a team.
