The Role:
GSL Education's South Yorkshire branch is actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL (Modern Foreign Language) Teacher to join a welcoming Secondary School in Barnsley. As an integral member of the team, the teacher will provide high-quality language instruction and create a supportive yet exciting environment for language learning. This role will play a crucial role in fostering a love for languages and cultures among the students, helping them develop their linguistic skills and broaden their global perspectives.
The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver interactive MFL lessons to students in secondary levels.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Plan and implement creative teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Support students in their preparation for competitive exams and language certifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's MFL curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages.
- Proven track record of delivering excellent teaching experience as an MFL Teacher in a secondary school or within an educational setting.
- Solid knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment frameworks.
- Proficiency in one or more modern foreign languages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with efficient classroom management skills.
- Currently residing in the UK.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
- Passion for education and student support.
