Role Summary

We require a professional, flexible, motivated and committed person who is capable of leading a team and delivering high quality, patient-focussed care and education within a busy, progressive and varied department. The post holder will be based within General Theatres and will be responsible for the Urology speciality. You will be expected to work clinically, line manage a number of theatre staff and participate in the day to day coordination of the Theatre Department both in and out of hours.

The General Theatre Department undertakes a wide range of specialities in both the elective and emergency settings including Orthopaedic Trauma, ENT, Max Fax, Plastics, Breast, Vascular, General Surgery including upper GI/Colo-rectal, Urology and Robotic procedures. Within this Department you will be required to participate in on calls and weekend working.

These include the national parks of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the coastal towns and seaside resorts of two beautiful coastlines and many picturesque villages. Exeter itself has many modern amenities with very good road, rail and air transport links.
