Our Facility Cleaners are an integral part of the depot maintenance team and provide a crucial service to our customers in ensuring the workplace and the accommodation is safe and clean to allow the Production Teams to operate. This position is rotating shift pattern which will include weekdays and weekends. Exeter is a small team where people work together to get the job done, so you will need to be a team player.

Your main responsibilities will be:

Ensuring the workshop, yard and accommodation is clean and safe. Rectifying minor customer facing and plant defects as required. Completing internal and external cleans of trains as required. Complete UFC cleans of trains to allow train maintenance to progress.

You'll need to be:

Acutely aware of the required safety standards and aware of your responsibilities. Focused on the needs of the customer and the impact that the whole team has on them. A team player. Able to work to a deadline and to a written standard. Flexible and willing to go the extra mile. Bought into 6S and developing new and improved ways of working. Prepared to work at other locations, outside of Exeter when required. Willing to participate in training both internal and external

As a minimum, you'll need to have:

NVQ 2 in cleaning methods and processes, have suitable experience of cleaning or be willing to complete the required NVQ training. Desirable IOSH training. Pride in the product – our trains.

The positions are shift only and work throughout the week including weekends. Exeter is a small team where people muck in together to get the job done, so you will need to be a team player.
