Job Description

Medsolve are proud to be working with a client who are recruiting for a Children’s Home Deputy Manager.

 

This is a permanent role.

 

My client offers a rate: Circa £37,600

Other benefits include:

    28 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 33 days with 5 years service

 

Excellent opportunity for enthusiastic candidates to join the team in one of our children’s residential homes. They are a rapidly expanding organisation and are offering a very competitive salary plus benefits including a quality bespoke training package and generous renumeration for sleep-in shifts. They specialise in supporting Children and Young People who have suffered early life trauma, neglect or abuse and may display challenging behaviours.

 

The role of the Deputy Manager:

·         To lead the team to deliver high quality care to our young people

·         To ensure that all risks are safely managed in line with the company policies and procedures.

·         To review the young people's care plans and other associated documentation

·         To act as an advocate for the young person whilst using a positive parenting model

·         To work with young people using positive support strategies including de-escalation tools and techniques using in-house training (PRICE)

·         To provide support to the Manager in order to complete day to day tasks

·         To run the home in the absence of the Manage

·         To complete on-call duties as and when required

 

The requirements of the Deputy Manager:

·         Must have a full manual driving licence

·         Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent

·         Must be prepared to complete Diploma Level 5 Children's Residential Care

·         To participate in further continuing professional development support the needs of our young people

·         To be open minded, empathetic in a calm and professional manner
