In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for defining and executing the transport and warehousing strategy across the Safran Seats GB business building a robust, cost efficient and service oriented logistics
operation.
Key Responsibilities will include:

Our dedicated engineering, production and in-service support facilities are integral to delivering a high-end quality product that we keep flying throughout the life of programme. We are fully supported by a wide team of support functions, from HR to Finance, to Business Development and Planning and Logistics, our team is built to give Safran Seats an end-to-end capability in house in the UK.

Candidate skills:
Working knowledge of logistics processes across warehouse management and transport planning including management of performance metrics
Demonstrable knowledge of MRP
Experience managing a 3PL contract
APICS / CPIM or equivalent
Ability to lead and develop a team through
coaching and authentic leadership
Ability to communicate across all levels
Ability to build good working relationships across department and with supplier & customer representatives
Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial concepts combined with a continuous improvement mindset
Understanding of Quality processes in Aviation / Aerospace
