Job summary
We are looking for salaried GPs to work in our Helston and Porthleven surgeries and join our friendly and supportive team of 8 partners and 11 salaried GPs.

Main duties of the job
a.Thedelivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled population
b.Theprovision of services commensurate with the GMS contract
c.Genericprescribing adhering to local and national guidance
d.Effectivemanagement of long-term conditions
e.Processingof administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescriptionrequests and other associated administrative tasks
f.Ona rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor roles
g.Maintainaccurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy andguidance
h.Workingcollaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload
i.Adhereto best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
j.Contributeto the successful implementation of continuous improvement and qualityinitiatives within the practice
k.Acceptdelegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOF
l.Attendand contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
m.Contributeeffective to the development and maintenance of the practice including;clinical governance, training, financial management and HR
n.Ensurecompliance with the appraisal process
o.Prepareand complete the revalidation process
p.Committo self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional developmentacross the practice team
q.Supportthe training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
About us
The role:-
4-6 session per week flexibility could beavailable for the right candidate
SystmOne practice, using Ardens and Accurx
Urgent care team offering support on dutydays.
Reduction in appointments on some sessions to amax of 24 appointments for the day for a more sustainable workload. We are looking to increase this for allroutine sessions.
Team of nurses/HCAs providing nurse-led chronicdisease management.
Practice paramedics providing a visitingservice
Award winning PCN Pharmacist Team
PCN first contact physiotherapy, socialprescribing link workers & mental health practitioner
