Exciting Opportunity for a Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Location: Nelson, Lancashire

Are you a passionate and dedicated science teacher looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover position starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum and share best practices.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge in science, with the ability to teach across the science disciplines.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
