About the Role

TheAnalyst Payments andInnovation will work as a supportingpolicy advisor on a wide remit of issues relating to payments andregulatory engagement but with a focus on issues relating todigital andinnovation.

Thisperson will work with and support members of the Payments productstream to identify and coordinate activity on key policy issuesrelevant to domestic and international payments such as legislativedevelopments pertinent activities of the regulators and other keyexternal stakeholders and engage with members to understand andrepresent theirviews.

Responsibilities:
  • Providesecretariat support to key working groups and committees writingpapers taking minutes and liaising with senior levelmembers.
  • Developing a strong understanding ofthe digital money and payments ecosystem to support member policyand advocacy work.
  • Providing regulatorycoordination for the team including keeping a record of upcomingmeetings and briefing requirements and liaising with team membersto collate inputs.
  • Engage closely with andsupport with colleagues and groups working on crosscuttingprojects/workstreams on issues across payments innovation anddigital.
  • Provide members with relevant marketand regulatory insights in addition to market wide horizon scanningand monitoring to inform their own businessplanning.
  • Responsibility for preparingconsultation responses Committee and Board papers and communicatingwith colleagues both internally andexternally.


Requirements:
  • Someknowledge of the payments market andhow it works would be desirable.
  • Someknowledge of digital and innovationtopics including new digital money such asstablecoins cryptoassets.
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills together with the ability toeffectively manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent written communication skills withexperience of drafting documents in a clear concise and accurateway.
