As an Operative, you will be required to undertake a variety of production duties within the plant in accordance with Company EHS policies and management instructions. Your main responsibilities cover elements of manual handling, running the bagging lines, and storing products safely. The more common activities include, but are not limited to:

• Packaging product into IBC’s. Using both manual and automatic filling systems.

• Shrink wrapping and securing goods, ready for collection.

• Inputting and maintaining accurate data records.

• Using a counterbalance forklift to safely transport and rack away packaged goods.

• Maintaining the health, safety and environmental standards on site, for yourself and others around you.

The successful candidate should hold or be willing to undertake training to include manual handling and chemical handling competence. You’ll be working in team of 5-6 per shift, forming a vital part of the successful and smooth running of our Herreschoff Kiln site. This role is working on a shift pattern (day and night):

Day Shift:

Week 1: 6am – 6pm - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off)

Week 2: 6am – 6pm Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

Night Shift:

Week 3: 6pm – 6am - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off)

Week 4: 6pm – 6am Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

What we are looking for:

• A forklift licence with refresher training in the last 3 years.

• A UK driving licence.

• High level of health, safety and environmental knowledge and awareness including COSHH.

• Any experience working in a similar industrial setting or production environment would be advantageous.

• Solid understanding of health and safety standards/ practices.

• Previous experience with the use of racking would be an advantage.
