We are hiring a picture specialistauctioneer or art expert to work with a local business in Worthing.

The business is an auction house who aregrowing and looking to hire a skilled Picture Expert. You may haveyour own Antiques business and looking for a permanent role orworking for another business and would like to move into a rolewhere you can establish yourself as a leader and run a department.

No previous experience of running auctionsis expected and this does not need to form part of the role.

A good rounded knowledge from Old Masters tothe Modern of paintings (oils and watercolours) prints and posters.

Good interpersonal skills and an ability towin business and good client liaison.
To be able tocarry our valuations at the salerooms and clients homes and be ableto vett/curate the entries to the sale.
An ability tovalue pictures for presale/auction probate and insurance.
To be selfmotivated and able to work independently andas part of a team.
Be able to prepare condition reports.
To be able to respond to email enquiries.

Full drivers licence and car.
Salary 50000 to 60000 Negotiable Pension
