Are you a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Maths looking for a part-time role in a supportive and dynamic school environment? GSL Education is working with an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School in York to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our team on a part-time basis, starting immediately and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Role Overview:

As a part-time Teacher of Maths, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths education to students across Years 7 to 10. You will work three days per week, engaging and inspiring students to achieve their best in Mathematics. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about Maths and committed to making a positive impact on students' educational journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for Maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of teaching and learning practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating a stimulating and supportive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work part-time and effectively manage time.
  • A clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years, including your current/most recent employer.
