Location: Southampton
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-time
Salary Scale: £85-£100 per day (Depending on experience)
GSL Education are currently recruiting a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join one of our vibrant client schools in Southampton. The role will include managing student behaviour, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting students in their work. This position offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students’ education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining continuity of learning during teachers' absences. In this engaging role, you will supervise whole classes and deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects, ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise and manage classes, ensuring students are on task with the assigned work.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Follow the school’s behaviour management policy.
- Assist in resolving issues that arise during the lesson.
- Deliver and monitor lesson plans provided by teaching staff.
Required Qualifications for a Cover Supervisor:
- Prior experience in a similar educational setting is advantageous.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students across age groups.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new check.
