An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Supervisor/Team Leader to join us on a secondment for 12 months, in our fast paced Clinical Administration Unit within Specialist Medicine, you will be managing a large team of administration staff, in supporting with bookings and coordinating patient pathway's from referral to treatment (RTT).

You must have excellent people management and organisational skills. Computer skills are essential as well as the knowledge of a wide range of systems including Sunrise, PAS and ERS. Knowledge of waiting list management, validation, and managing Patient tracking Lists (PTL) would be desired. 

You must be methodical and organised in your approach and thrive on the opportunity to make difference.

Main duties of the job

To be a leader for all administrative staff, as well as overseeing patient pathway's to ensure maximum productivity. Undertaking regular 1:1's and yearly appraisals with staff, and encourage staff development. 

Understand the roles and responsibilities within the CAU, and ensure that staff are supported and expectations are met.

You must manage your own workload dealing with and resolving issues as and when they occur, without direct supervision on a daily basis, and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times, as well as target dates.

Alongside the Assistant General Manager, be an advocate for change and support in developing the service.
