Engine Shop Inspectors perform both visual and dimensional inspection checks on individual parts as per the specified in work instructions. They will be responsible for determining if a part is Serviceable, or Repairable. They will document all findings on Company process paperwork.
Key responsibilities and duties:
Maintain a safe and clean working environment. Conduct all work in accordance with company policies, health and safety procedures, quality procedures, manufactures and customer specification and industry regulations Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspection of individual parts as per inspection level specified in overhaul or maintenance manual, Detailed Work Instruction (DWI) or Engineering Repair Instruction (ERI). Check fits and clearances of mating parts as required. Determine disposition of parts . Serviceable, or Repairable. Raise repair work orders and select repair schemes for parts being sent for repair at sub-contractor or within Vector on the ERP System (Training provided). Reserve new parts as required on the ERP System (Training provided). Raise Non-conformance reports as necessary. Document all findings on Company process paperwork. Adherence to our Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and all associated Business ManualsCompetencies:

Additional training/experience in a technical field. (e) Ability to use basic hand tools. (e) Ability to use and care for precision measuring and torque devices. (e) Familiarity with aerospace engine services quality procedures and documentation including process paperwork, parts routing procedures, Engineering Repair Instructions, Detailed Work Instructions and Non-Conformance Report system. (e) Working knowledge of Engine publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins. (e)Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:
Have a recognised engineering apprenticeship and possess relevant certification (e) Working knowledge of Engine publications and work instructions including overhaul and maintenance manuals, parts catalogues and service bulletins. (d)Experience:
