Position: Cover Supply Teacher
Location: Primary School in Colchester
Are you a confident and experienced teacher with excellent behavioral management skills? Primary School is seeking a dynamic Cover Supply Teacher to provide support for our Year 6 class on a temporary basis.
Cover Supply Teacher for Year 6 at Primary School Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to Year 6 students across a range of subjects, following the school's curriculum and schemes of work.
- Provide cover for absent teachers, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using proactive strategies to promote a respectful and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with their academic progress and personal development, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students, including those with special educational needs or English as an additional language.
- Complete administrative tasks associated with cover teaching, such as registering attendance and leaving detailed feedback for regular classroom teachers.
- Collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to teaching and learning across the school.
Cover Supply Teacher for Year 6 at Primary School Requirements:
- Proven experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with experience teaching Year 6 students.
- Strong behavioral management skills and the ability to effectively manage classroom dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of classroom settings and cover different subjects as required.
- Commitment to upholding the school's values and ethos, promoting high standards of behavior and achievement.
