We are currently recruiting for a Principal Civil Engineer. This is an embedded opportunity, supporting one of our key clients within the Nuclear Defence Industry.

Location wise, this is a hybrid opportunity, working from the client's site at Devonport Dockyard, on average once a month for 2/3 days.

Please note the ability to obtain BPSS level security clearance is essential, uplifted to SC prior to a start. 

Role Description:

To manage the delivery of ancillary structures engineering work packages to the
required scope, quality, schedule and cost. Responsible for managing the technical deliverables of the Structural or Mechanical Engineering packages in line with the planned deliverables agreed by the Discipline Lead. Participate in the problem solving for development of technical solutions to
deficiencies or in the development of new designs. Developing, monitoring and reviewing Civil Engineering designs. Reviewing Civil design output. 

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

Chartered Engineer ideally, registered with Engineering Council or working
towards chartership. Degree qualified. Prior experience working on Nuclear/Defence projects. Experience of seismic engineering is preferred.
