Job summary
We are currently looking to recruit an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Children's Occupational Therapy Team. We are a small enthusiastic and hard-working team based in the Child Development Centre. We provide a service for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties or concerns around engagement within meaningful daily activities. You will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team and the role will involve providing support to children, young people and their families across Peterborough.
The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability and an ability to work under pressure at times. Main duties of the job
o To assist the Occupational Therapists and work as part of the Occupational Therapy team, to provide the highest standard of care working in community paediatrics (for children aged between 0 to 19 years).o To implement and evaluate delegated OT interventions in activities relating to their treatment To actively participate & work with a range of other professional teams, which may include Education, Health and Social To work alone in domiciliary and community settings as well as part of the Community Paediatric and wider Child Development Unit To undertake administrative duties to support the clinical practice of the Community Paediatric Occupational Therapy team.
