Job summary

The postholder will be responsible for undertaking awide range of secretarial and administrative duties and the provision ofadministrative support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties will include butare not limited to, the processing of information (electronic and hard copy) ina timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and externalagencies such as secondary care and community service providers in accordancewith current policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

Handlingoffice communication and correspondence, including phone calls and emails.

Supportall clinical staff with general administrative tasks and receptionist duties asrequested.

Manageall enquires in an effective manner.

Maintainingand updating patient records and handling confidential information

Assistingwith internal & external referrals.

Clinicalcoding.

Liaisingwith external agencies such as medical professionals, hospitals, and communityservices, ensuring queries are processed efficiently.

Managing patient communication, including thebooking and rescheduling of appointments.

Job responsibilities

Essential

Knowledge of primary and community healthcare Knowledge of electronic patient record system Excellent communication skills Good organisational and IT skills Ability to manage and prioritise workload Clear understanding of professional responsibilities and accountability

Desirable

Experience of SystmOne / EMIS clinical system. Experience working in a GP practice / Primary Care. QOF knowledge (Make every contact count).
