Principles ofhuman rights and social justice are fundamental to the role and youwill be required to be able to effectively balance the protectionof individual rights against the need to use professional authorityand accountability effectively to safeguard vulnerableindividuals.
You will upholdthe profession and act a representative of the Local authority in avariety offorums.
KeyDuties/Accountabilities:
Deliver serviceactivities and manage caseloads to ensure intended outcomes forcustomers and the Council are delivered within agreed servicestandards.
Identify andimplement improvements in own work area in order to delivercontinuous service improvement and improved outcomes tocustomers.
Liaise withcustomers to review service requirements and resolveproblems.
Keep up to datewith changes in policy/legislation/contractual requirements inorder to ensure service delivery is effective and complies withappropriateregulations.
EssentialQualificationsRequired:
Hold a socialwork qualification and be registered with the relevant regulatorybody and be responsible for maintaining the requirements as set outby that body to remain registered as a socialworker.
To have therelevant skills knowledge and aptitude to ensure that allvulnerable people are safeguarded from abuse and that all statutoryfunctions local policy procedures are adhered to in a timely mannerand case recordings are up todate.
To be able toapply social work theory models best practice and methods topractice with a specific focus on systemic and strengths basedapproaches and a good understanding of human development throughoutthe lifespan.
Social workqualification and at least one years post qualifying experience ina social work role and be able to meet the requirements of thesocial work regulator. With the exceptionof Newly qualified Social Workers(ASYE).
Additionalinformation tonote:
A current validUK driving licence and the use of a car for work with validinsurance covering business use whererequired.
Social Workersreceive a Welcome Bonus of 1000 paid in your first month salaryfollowed by a Retention Bonus of 1000 after your first completedyear of service a retention bonus of 2000 after your secondcompleted year followed by a retention bonus of 3000 everycompleted yearthereafter.
