Key responsibilities for the Senior Planner:
- Develop and manage schedules, ensuring seamless integration across multiple stakeholders.
- Maintain and manage baselines to support contractual and performance metrics.
- Conduct workshops and meetings to challenge and drive project progress and performance.
- Support Planning/Project Controls Managers in maintaining schedule integrity and interfaces.
- Manage contract requirements, ensuring compliance with NEC, JCT, FIDIC, and rail frameworks.
- Deliver advanced reporting, including Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Perform critical path analysis and scenario planning to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.
- Integrate schedules with cost and risk data to provide holistic project insights.
Requirements of the Senior Planner:
- Demonstrated experience on large, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and/or Microsoft Project.
- Expertise in planning fundamentals, critical path analysis, and tendering.
- Strong cost/resource loading experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of NEC, JCT, and FIDIC contracts.
- Advanced reporting capabilities and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership and mentorship experience.
- Risk management expertise, including quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA).
- Forensic planning capabilities.
- Rail industry experience, including knowledge of systems, technologies, and regulatory bodies (e.g., DfT).
