Job summary

Bury Care Organisation has a unique and exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills from a band 6 to a band 7 MSK/Pain Specialist Physiotherapist within our friendly MSK Outpatients team. You will complete a 12-18 month development programme (depending on prior knowledge, skill, and experience) progressing to Band 7 on will be supported by a well-established MSK team, including B7specialists and Advanced Practitioners, to achieve your specific learningoutcomes throughout the process and benefit from regular protected inservice training time and MSK team has close links with the Bury Integrated Pain Service, a multidisciplinary pain service, and you will receive training and support from peersand Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners within that service.Evidence of substantial post graduate experience in an Outpatient MSKPhysiotherapy setting within the NHS is essential. Experience of working withcomplex persistent pain patients is progression to a Band 7 role, the job plan is typically based on 80%clinical and 20% SPA time which will enable you to develop your teaching,research, and quality improvement note: you will be paid at band 6 grade during the training period afterwhich, and if successful in meeting the required competencies, you will beoffered a Band 7 you are an International AHP either without a current HCPC PIN, orwithout NHS experience, please do not apply for this role.

Main duties of the job

Specialist assessment of patients with a variety of musculoskeletalpresentations

Specialist bio-psychosocial assessment of patients with complex painconditions.

Delivery of individualised MSK and pain management interventions

Management of a complex caseload of patients with both acute andchronic conditions

Support Operational leads with workforce planning and recruitment

Work closely with Operational Leads on the planning, delivery, andevaluation of the service.

Contribute to service development, research, and audit within thespecialism.

Provide teaching, training, supervision and support for junior staff andstudents.
