Fives North American Combustion, Inc. is hiring a full-time Sr. HR Generalist to be based at our subsidiary, North American Construction Services, Ltd. (NACS), in Pinson/Birmingham, AL.

As Sr. HR Generalist, you will have the chance to make a significant impact, foster a positive workplace culture and play a pivotal role in executing HR initiatives, while working directly with the Vice President of HR/HSE and HR team located at the company headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio. 

North American Construction Services (HQ: Pinson/Birmingham, AL) is a dynamic subsidiary of Fives North American Combustion (HQ: Cleveland) and the renowned Fives Group (HQ: Paris). Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive workplace culture. Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Lead recruitment efforts, from job posting to candidate selection, and manage the onboarding process for new hires. Training and Development: Identify training needs and perform or coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and development. Compliance: Ensure adherence to HR policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, addressing employee inquiries and ensuring compliance. Employee Engagement: Plan and execute initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and overall workplace experience. Performance Management: Manage performance appraisal processes, providing guidance to managers and contributing to strategies for performance improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or a related field. HR certification preferred (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP). 4+ years of experience in human resources roles. Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
