The post holder will be supporting flow and patient pathways within the General Medicine Care Group. This will focus on flow from the Emergency Department to other areas of the hospital.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a clinically credible nurse, with the ability to apply critical decision making to influence patient care
·The role will focus on patient flow across the care group; particularly focused on developing and implementing nurse-initiated care, such as criteria led discharge and SDEC pathways.
·The post holder should have experience in developing and reviewing patient pathways to support effective care.
·Experience in medicine management initiatives such as Patient Group Directive
·To be responsible for the professional leadership of a defined team and rolemodellingexceptionalstandards ofnursingpractice
·To act as a clinical expert within a sphere of work and champion a culture ofprofessionaldevelopmentandquality improvement
