RoleHighlights

  • Fulltimepermanent Music Teacher position within an SENschool dedicated to holistic student development through creativeand adaptive learning
  • Plan and deliverinspiring music lessons designed to engage students with a varietyof learning needs encouraging selfexpression and building skills ina supportive environment
  • Use music as atherapeutic tool creating opportunities for students to exploretheir emotions develop social skills and gain confidence in anonjudgmental fun atmosphere
  • Work closely withthe SEN team to adapt music lessons to individual learning stylesensuring that each student can participate meaningfully and achievepersonal milestones
  • Develop group activitiessuch as music circles and small performances to promote teamworksocial interaction and collaboration amongstudents
  • Play an active role in school eventsand performances helping to cultivate a positive school culturethat celebrates every students unique abilities andachievements

ExperienceandQualifications

  • QualifiedTeacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in teaching musicparticularly within SEN or inclusive education settings with adedication to making music accessible forall
  • Skilled in creating adaptive therapeuticmusic lesson plans that can be tailored to a wide range ofabilities fostering a love for music and selfexpression amongstudents
  • Compassionate and patient teachingstyle with the flexibility to adjust instruction to meet thespecific emotional and developmental needs of eachstudent
  • Strong collaborative skills workingwith the SEN team to support individual student progress bothacademically and emotionally
  • Clear enhanced DBScheck required to ensure a safe caring environment forstudents
