Role Overview

As a Compliance Officer at Boohoo, you will be responsible for providing expert support and advice on regulatory matters, ensuring the business understands and meets its regulatory obligations, and managing regulatory risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advisory services, offering guidance on regulatory obligations. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations, communicating changes effectively. Conduct compliance monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance. Support the development and implementation of compliance policies and standards. Assist in creating an effective Compliance Framework for the business.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Experience in FCA regulated firms, with a good understanding of the consumer credit and payment services sector, and their relevant regulations.  Knowledge of relevant legislation (CCA 1974, FSMA 2000, PSRs 2017).  Knowledge of relevant FCA rules (CONC, DISP, SYSC, SUP).  Ability to work in a fast paced, challenging, dynamic and demanding environment with changing priorities.  Ability to plan and prioritise workloads whilst working to strict deadlines.  Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders, whilst being able to challenge and influence stakeholders on their approach to compliance. Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

Qualification in Compliance at certification level or above.

Interview Process:

If successful from this meeting then you will be asked to meet with the head of compliance who will go through your experience further and what value you could bring to the team.

If the head of compliance likes what they see, they will ask for you to come back and present a task you are able to work on in your own time.
