Plant amp Transport Supervisor

Due to continued growth at OCU we are lookingfor an experienced Plant & Transport Supervisor to workacross the Taunton area. You will monitor aspects of the Plant& Transport (P&T) operations ensuring theoperations maintain the highest standards in quality and safety youwill also ensure all assets are ready and available for allocationcompliance elements are adhered to and costs are controlled. YourPrimary focus will be on ensuring we operate a safe and compliantfleet ensuring downtime is kept within acceptablelevels.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside andcommunicating with key stakeholders internally andexternally
• Signing vehicles and plant in andout to ensure asset accuracy andaccountability
• Ensuring all equipment has anidentification code and allocatedcorrectly
• Oversee and ensure that all companyowned fleet equipment is safe and fully compliant paying particularattention to regulatory and legalrequirements.
• Checking that all fuel cards arebeing correctly used highlighting any misuse to the regionalP&T Manager.
• Responsible for complianceand that all vehicles are operated within the current RoadTransport Regulations. Ensuring that all vehicles and plant aremaintained as per the maintenance plan and any issues that ariseare communicated appropriately.
• Ensuring thatthe 6 monthly testing of all OCU chains slings shackles andharnesses are completed and ensuring all sign boards are amendedwith the correct colour codes.
• Ensure thatdaily P&T walk around checks are completed and all defectsare recorded and remedial action is taken and communicatedappropriately.
• Driver onboarding as per OCUprocess
• Periodic driving assessments of alldrivers as per OCU process
• Ensuring driverweekly hours are signed off and any excess hours are addressed withthe Regional P&T manager.
• Carry out anyother duties appropriate for thispost.

Skills &Experience

• Strongtechnical knowledge TransportLegislation
• Driver Assessortrained.
• Knowledge of HGV/transport and plantcompliance
• Be able to adapt and communicate alllevels.
• Able to deal with reactivework.
• OLATqualified
