We are seeking

to recruit a Senior Statistician to provide statistical and epidemiological leadership for the team studying the Benefits and Risks of Cancer Treatments. The post-holder will play a key role in leading the planning, coordination and implementation of appropriate methods of statistical analysis. The successful candidate will work as part of a team that includes statisticians, epidemiologists, oncologists, a surgeon, a radiotherapy physicist, and DPhil students. To be considered you will hold a PhD in statistics or substantial experience in statistics or a closely related field. You will have experience of managing research projects and staff, with an established international publication record, and success in leading research grants. Strong programming skills in a statistical language, such as R, Stata, Python or C/C++, etc are essential for this post. Experience of leading research programmes, including setting the strategic direction would be desirable. The post is full-time (although part-time is considered) and fixed term for three years in the first instance.
