Role Summary

We are recruiting a Full Stack PHP Developer who will join the business and work on developing a range of internal web based projects across the Allied Pharmacies group.


This is an exciting and varied role that will mean you will get involved with all areas of within the business. You must be prepared to use your PHP development knowledge and experience and apply it practically to solve real world operational challenges

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in developing and maintaining applications in the LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Strong understanding and experience coding in OOP, MVC and associated best practices.
  • Knowledge of responsive UI development, JavaScript, HTML, Bootstrap CSS.
  • An understanding of app deployment (Apple/Android/ & associated tools)
  • Up to date SEO best practices
  • Version control
  • An ability to write secure code following the most up to date best practices.  

Personal Characteristics

  • A flexible and enthusiastic team player with a passion for understand real world business challenges and problem solving through programming development
  • Willing to understand systems, explore older code bases, learn from mentors, and rigorously tests and system impacts before programming deployment.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a desire to deliver against agreed targets.
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly across the organisation at all levels.

Please note: This is an in house role positioned in our St Helens Office (WA9)

Requirements
