Your typical day as a Junior Buyer:
Our Junior Buyer will be an integral part of the procurement team, responsible for supporting purchasing activities to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop your career in procurement, providing hands-on experience in supply management, vendor relations and contract negotiation.
You'll ensure optimisation of company assets, to fully and continually satisfy customers'and end users' requirements, maintaining suitable economic inventory levels. Taking a lead in procuring from approved suppliers and service providers, you'll drive cost reduction initiatives and contribute to overall budget management.

You'll already have:
- A degree level education or equivalent is ideal.
- A proven track record of achieving results, preferably in a supply chain, buying or procurement environment.
- Proven communication skills and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Detailed knowledge of the procurement process and be able to demonstrate good negotiation and influencing skills.
- A full UK driving licence allowing would be ideal as there will be occasions when you'll need to travel to visit suppliers.
- Experience with MRP controlled production environments(desirable)
- You will have strong organisational and planning skills and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comprehensive IT skills including Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with stock management systems would be beneficial.
- A desire to develop your existing skills while also learning about Supply Chain and other areas of the business.
