The Aspire Training Team are currently recruiting for a punctual, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join Seedlings Preschool as a Level 3 Childcare Apprentice.
Seedlings is a bright and welcoming early years setting for children to grow and learn, from birth until school age. We provide large indoor and outdoor spaces which children access throughout the day. We also run regular Outdoor Learning and Forest School activities across the week.
Seedlings is based in the grounds of Hooe Primary School, and was originally established in Dunstone in 2004. We have four rooms for our children, based around age and development, these are split into four rooms; each room has access to our outdoor areas, Outdoor Learning and Forest School provision and gives the opportunity for children to grow and develop at their own pace.

Your roles and responsibilities will include;
Key worker in a room – to have a small group of key children, carry out observations and planning. You will be assigned planning tasks for the week and keep up to date with next steps depending on children’s abilities Support with completing risk assessments Maintaining Health and Safety standards Good communication skills for good parent partnerships Supporting personal care and hygiene; toileting and nappy changing Serve and prepare snacks assist at mealtimes Housekeeping duties within the roomHours;
Seedlings preschool are open between the hours of 07:00-18:00 Working hours will be between 30-40 hours per week with shift patterns to be discussed. There is an option at Seedlings for Term Time HoursRequirements;
Level 2 Childcare Qualification is essential when applying for this position GCSE’s A*-C/4+ in English Language and Maths, or equivalent i.e. functional skills Must be able to obtain clear DBSBenefits;
