The Senior Manager, Digital will work closely with the Director, Digital and the YouTube channel management team to grow our YouTube network by maximising exposure and revenues for our brands globally. The role will be instrumental in driving digital distribution strategies for top ranked brands across the Hasbro portfolio (including Peppa Pig, Transformers, My Little Pony, Power Rangers, PJ Masks, Hasbro Gaming, Play Doh, D&D…). The Senior Manager will develop plans and rollouts influenced by latest platform and content trends to ensure high performance across our network. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of Digital Channel Managers and Video Editors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead YouTube content management and distribution across a defined portfolio of brands (spanning from preschool to general audiences) by creating YouTube rollouts for our brands and markets
  • Day-to-day management of our YouTube network globally using YouTube best practices and algorithm expertise
  • Expand and manage relationships with external agencies to optimize network coverage and deliver on targets and KPIs.
  • Build strong partnerships with Brand and Marketing teams across Pre-school & Action portfolio to ensure strategy alignment and execution of agreed plans.
  • Create compelling SEO, artwork, and programming strategies, leverage Entertainment Paid Media expertise and budgets to strategically grow YouTube organic exposure via paid campaigns.
  • Launch new channels in local markets – sourcing translations and dubs from internal teams and vendors.
  • Regularly audit and interrogate performance metrics using various analytic tools such as YouTube Analytics and Tubular Labs to build actionable insights.
  • Work closely with Entertainment Analytics team to manage reporting and dashboarding priorities for channel management function.
  • Reacting quickly & dynamically to changes across the platform, staying ahead of new trends and algorithm changes.
  • Manage, train, and develop a team of YouTube Channel Managers and Editors
  • Review editing workload and strategically prioritise projects across verticals and platforms (including AVOD), regularly review related processes to ensure workflows are optimised.
  • Build a strong relationship and interact regularly with Google Partner managers.
  • Become the inhouse expert for all YouTube news, trends, and platform changes to ensure we’re forward thinking and constantly adapting and innovating our channel management strategy.
  • Feed into the creative process by providing regular platform and content insights to Digital Production team, helping uncover white space opportunities.
  • Lead bi-monthly sessions with Channel Managers to discuss and set channel strategy, best practices and changes on the platform.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Direct, proven, and extensive experience managing successful YouTube channels.
  • An analytical mind-set – comfortable analysing YouTube performance metrics using various tools.
  • Tech-savvy, with an understanding of all YouTube features including YouTube Analytics, Content ID, downloadable reports, and live-streaming.
  • Creative and proactive, with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong experience managing social pages (Facebook, TikTok...)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and leadership capabilities
  • Proven experience managing a team.
  • A collaborative and confident approach with internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge and ensuring convergence of team.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects and tasks.
  • Experience managing partnerships with platforms and agencies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel, and creative programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Premier
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
