Fixed Term Contract - up to 12 Months

As Operations Manager for Community and Tenancy Sustainability, you’ll manage community housing teams to successfully deliver accommodation and services across a range of properties, with a focus on housing management. You’ll support, manage and develop teams, as well as monitoring overall performance, to make sure that all of our homes remain safe and high quality. You will ensure the swift turnaround of properties and deliver excellent tenancy sustainment services to ensure the long-term futures of customers.

Job requirements

  • Motivate and manage your teams to ensure that customers are tenancy ready and well equipped to manage a successful tenancy.
  • Ensure properties are turned around quickly to maximise income and ensure customers are housed as soon as possible.
  • Be responsible for effective rent arrear management, void management, ASB management, while ensuring targets are achieved, including property compliance targets by working closely with the Compliance Manager.
  • Validate rent breakdowns for each property within the portfolio to ensure that we maximise income.
  • Listen to the customer voice, ensuring that customers have several ways in which to influence our service.
  • Have oversight of customer journeys to ensure customers are progressing through a tenancy ready programme.
  • Control budgets spend across your service area, ensuring value for money at all times.
  • Support with tender bids and renewals and fundraising and growth opportunities throughout Concrete.
     

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with a degree level qualification, or qualified by experience to an equivalent level.
  • Significant experience of housing management, people management and HR processes.
  • Experience supporting adults with complex needs such as substance misuse, homelessness and mental health, or transferable skills you can bring to the role.
  • CIH Member or a willingness to work towards it.
  • Great communication, organisational, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Someone who is self-aware, able to self-manage and always demonstrate professionalism.
  • An inspirational leader who can coach, develop and empower others.
  • DBS check.
