What you will enjoy doing- In this role, you will be managing and undertaking planned & defect maintenance activities for both mechanical and cryogenic systems
- Managing the efficient and effective running of the North West garages, ensuring a strong team bond and work ethic
- You will be ensuring vehicle maintenance is carried out timely and is accurately recorded
- Liaising as and when required with external maintenance contractors and other bodies e.g. MAN, ATS, and DAF
- In addition, you will have responsiblity for the management of the teams work hours along with effective recording and allocation of all parts and their costs
- As well as minimising vehicle downtime and reacting to peak demands for vehicle availability by working flexible and innovative as required
- You will ensure all safety procedures are followed, by playing a key leadership role in the garage & branches safety agenda's
- Lastly, you will be managing vehicle maintenance costs, identifying areas of cost reduction
- You have and are committed to the highest level of safety, to support us in our safety first workplace
- City & Guilds, NVQ’s or equivalent qualifications in LGV vehicle maintenance
- In addition, you hold a LGV (C+E) driving licence with knowledge of the LGV tester's manual
- You are an excellent communicator and are flexible and adaptable
- Furthermore, you have a high standard of personal integrity
- You have the ability to work on your own initiative and take pride in your work
- Lastly, if you have an ADR driver's license covering class 2 and/or experience with MAN/DAF vehicles, that would be desirable however, we will be able to provide the training for this
