An exciting entry route opportunity has arisen in our Commercial Solutions Stores Team, with an opening giving opportunity to gain good foundation knowledge, experience and understanding of the procurement environment, including procurement, stores, warehouse & logistics operations, supplier & customer relationships. You will be provided with ongoing support and training to enable you to continually develop in the role, also with potential for professional development opportunity to undertake Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) level-3 apprenticeship.

Key elements of the role:

Provide a range of administrative/ clerical support services. Undertake duties associated with management of stock, the receipt and issue of goods in an accurate and timely manner. Use Oracle Fusion (Purchasing & Inventory modules) Resolve supplier & internal departmental enquiries Undertakes duties associated with supplier checks and records administration Procure catalogue items, and support with maintenance of stock & non-stock catalogues Procure low-value non-catalogue items under pre-existing contracts, or by sourcing & obtaining quotes meeting requirement/specifications. Assist Commercial Business Partners, to provide advice and support to Constabulary departments and staff with their stores & procurement requirements.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an individual with the skills, knowledge, and experience in stores/procurement environment (or with the aptitude & potential to learn) and who wants to start a procurement development journey.

3 GCSE passes (grade C+/4+) including English & Maths (or equivalent / demonstrable competence) Previous admin clerical, stores/procurement experience/knowledge Ability to work to deadlines Good communication & organisational skills. Good problem solving and innovative thinking. ICT competent (Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, Outlook etc)
