Summary


The Office of the COO supports all Run-The-Bank (RTB) and Change-The-Bank (CTB) functions under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO). This includes Operations, the Client Management Unit (CMU), Outsourcing Services and Business Change. The Business Change team is responsible for all project/programme activities from project mobilisation to benefits realisation.


The Head of Business Change leads a number of Change Leads to whom this role will report. Where Business Change is responsible for regulatory projects, which cover business areas outside of the remit of the COO, the team will also be responsible for the delivery across these business units. For example, this may include the Front Office, Product Control, Risk and Compliance.


Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements, drafting user acceptance test scenarios, business process definition and business user training.


This role will require close interaction with stakeholders across the Front Office, Trade Support, Compliance, Client On-Boarding, Operations and IT. The job holder will be someone with good negotiating skills, demonstrates a sound approach to problem solving and can break down a complex issue into a clear, well-articulated summary that creates clarity and transparency.


Key Responsibilities

Analyse, validate and verify & document business and functional requirements, ensuring that requirement documents are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous and verifiable Elicit requirements via workshops, stakeholder interviews, scenario analysis, business process analysis, use cases, workflow analysis, wireframes etc. Assist in enforcement of project deadlines, schedules and methodologies Document and agree the current and target business processes Conduct in-depth gap analysis of the data availability within the organization Effectively communicate and transfer information to the development teams and test teams, where needed. Manage changes to requirements through effective use of change control processes Identify and escalate issues and risks impacting the scope, cost, resources, time or quality of the project deliverables to the Senior Business Analyst or Project Manager on the project. Write clear and concise project documentation including: business requirement documents; functional specifications; data dictionaries; training guides; and test scenarios Define the control framework for the project or initiative that ensures requirements to assure the completeness, accuracy or timeliness are met and integrity in the overall implementation Identify and escalate issues and risks impacting the scope, cost, resources, time or quality of the project deliverables

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Experience in solicitation and documentation of business requirements, consolidation feedback on the same requirement from various stakeholders, to ensure consensus on the solution being delivered Experience of data analysis/business process changes to business teams Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge, technical skills and expertise

Strong data analysis skills Strong business process definition and implementation skills Strong organizational skills Effective time management skills Ability to network and develop relationships (both internal and external) Strong Microsoft Office skills SQL skills (desirable)
