Job summary

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Nursing teams based across Hywel Dda University Health Board. We have vacancies available in the following areas:

Registered Nurse - Day Surgery Unit (Scrub) - Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli.

We are looking for Nurses that are passionate & motivated about delivering the best care possible, who have excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team. The ability to travel between sites may be required.

Main duties of the job

Day Surgery - There are multiple theatre site across Hywel Dda University Health Board which cover a range of specialities including, but not limited to, emergency surgery, obstetrics, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedic. Each individual theatre team comprises of scrub staff, circulating staff, Operating Department Practitioners, Recovery staff and HCSW's, and there are a range of opportunities within the day surgery units. The shift pattern will depend on the area worked and can be discussed at interview.

Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;

48 general practices (six of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;

Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;

Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
