The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant placed through Teaching Personnel, you will provide crucial support to students with additional learning needs, helping to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Your role will involve working closely with individual students and small groups to support their academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with specific learning needs.
  • Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Support students with their personal care and social interactions where necessary.
  • Monitor and record students’ progress, reporting observations to the teacher.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom and school community.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to support and motivate students with diverse learning needs.
