Employee Relations Manager

What you’ll be doing:
Engage, develop, and lead the ER team to align with business needs, ensuring capability within the team remains at a high level and an excellent service is provided to customers of the ER service from all team members. Define the ER Strategy for Pennon Group to drive culture change, develop and empower managers to pro-actively tackle ER issues. Own and develop the strategy and relationship with relevant unions and employee representative groups. Identify opportunities to partner with them to deliver engagement initiatives as well as supporting collective consultations and negotiations where required. Manage key relationships with external stakeholders including Employment Solicitors and 3rd party providers , Occupational Health Lead on the design and implementation of ER projects Act as the escalation point for complex and high-risk cases, ensuring a high level of leadership, commercial acumen and resolution is achieved. In addition, identify opportunities to mitigate future risk.
What we are looking for:
CIPD qualified or significant equivalent experience / qualification in employment law Significant experience in an ER role Significant experience in managing Trade Unionised relationships. TUPE/ major organisational change / Terms & Condition’s change experience Experience of managing complex cases through to tribunals
