Job summary

Heald Green Health Centre is seeking a dedicated and skilledNurse Associate to join our dynamic and busy practice. This is a part-time position, requiring 20hours per week, with mandatory availability on Mondays.

As a Nurse Associate, you will become an integral part ofour well-established clinical team, which includeds 2 Practice Nurses, 6General Practitioners (GPs), and 2 Care Coordinators. Our practices serves adiverse patient population of 7,149, and you may occasionally be required toconduct home visits.

Main duties of the job

The Nursing Associate will provide care within the scope oftheir demonstrated competencies, acquired during their training. Key responsibilities include performingcervical smear tests, wound care, diabetic foot checks, adult immunisations, phlebotomy,ECGs, long-term condition reviews, and weight management reviews. The Nursing Associate will work under thesupport and supervision of the Registered Nursing Team and their appointedregistered nurse.

The role involves recognising and responding to changes in apatients condition and seeking assistance from a general practitioner orregistered nurse when necessary.Additionally, the Nursing Associate will pr ovide health and careinformation to patients, caregivers, and families as appropriate.

Maintaining clear and concise documentation is crucial,adhering to standards set by the NMC and practice policies. The Nursing Associate must also adhere to theMedicines Management Policy in the storage, administration, recording, anddisposal of medicines.
