Isle of Skye - Portree Medical Centre : GP Partner or Fixed-term Salaried ( 12 months) - 5 Sessions

Following the planned redistribution of existing Partners sessions, we have a fantastic opportunity for a 5 session GP to join our team. If you're interested in a Fixed-term Salaried post, the 12 month term could be extended - or is also with a view to partnership - if you find that a year on Skye simply isnt long enough

We are a stable team of 7 partners working with excellent practice nursing (including ANP) and admin teams, as well as NHS Highland attached staff, including a Clinical Pharmacist, First Contact Physiotherapist and Community Link Worker; morning coffee is sociable and supportive. Our manageable work load allows for a good work life balance.

Our practice area encompasses the stunningly beautiful North East Skye and Isle of Raasay, with a practice population of approximately 5,500. We have two branch surgeries (one in a new purpose-built facility), rural home visits and weekly visits to the local nursing home.

We offer 15-minute appointments, which are a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations. We also provide medical supervision of inpatients at Portree Community Hospital, adding a further dimension to our work. We value learning and are an approved under-graduate and post-graduate training practice.
