We are currently recruiting for aTrainingAssistant to join our training facility in BYD Londonoffice at Hounslow London area. Thesuccessful candidate will develop and deliver learning to instiland maintain competencies of staff in a variety of Service& Maintenance positions. The job role will be to supportthe training for the differing fleets maintained at the officesworkshop and any outstation connected to the customers site usingBYD or 3rd Partystaff.


MainTasks andresponsibilities:

  • Developand Deliver Technical Operational and any required Safety Relatedtraining to meet the business needs including the use of electricalmeasuring tools for differing user groups within the trainingfacility.
  • Assist the department in preparingfor internal and external audits.
  • Ensuretraining records are accurate and processed in a timelymanner.
  • Follow business processes &procedures safely.
  • Ensure your own actionsreduce risks to health and safety.
  • Take part inactivities to maintain your individualcompetence.
  • Carry out formal assessments todetermine the competence of safety criticalstaff.
  • Work with other specialists to developtraining material to meet identifiedspecifications.
  • Carry out evaluations tocontinuously improve training documentation anddelivery.
  • Be aware of and actively promote andimplement BYDs ethos culture and values.
  • Adhereto the BYD UK Equal OpportunitiesPolicy.
  • Comply with and implement BYDs Healthand Safety policy.
  • Be involved in BYDs staffdevelopment & training and participate in the personaldevelopment process.
  • Undertake any otherreasonable duties and responsibilities as may be required for therole.

Essentialrequirements:

  • A desire toassist and develop others and a passion fortraining.
  • Commitment to working as part of ateam.
  • Experience in providing guidance andsupport to others.
  • Familiar with use andapplication of Microsoft O.S software and file managementtools.
  • Practical experience in carrying outmaintenance and fault findingactivities.
  • Ability to read and interpretelectrical and pneumatic schematics and mechanicaldrawings.
  • Experience in communicatinginformation and knowledge effectively both verbally and inwriting.
  • Literate in Microsoft Office softwareto create and format documents including use ofEmail.
  • A good understanding of health andsafety requirements of a workingenvironment.
  • Experience of and commitment tothe effective implementation of equal opportunities and CorporateSocial Responsibility (CSR) policies.
  • Fluent inEnglish writing andspeaking Chinese language is anadvantages.
  • Prove your right to work in theUK.

Qualifications:

  • Servedan apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical disciplineor
  • Level 3 qualification in either electricalor mechanicaldiscipline.

Desirableskills orknowledge:

  • Recognisedqualifications in training and assessing to either company ornational standards.
  • Experience of identifyingindividual and collective learning and developmentneeds.
  • Experienced in writing training courseguides and learner material to cater for different learning stylesand identified needs.
  • High level of experiencein use and application of Charging Management System software andvehicle fleet management tools.
  • Vocationalexperience and fault finding especially of electricalvehicles.
  • Experience of delivering basicmaintenance / engineering skills technicaltraining.
  • Practical experience in designingtests & assessments to ensure learning objectives have beenmet.
  • Practical experience of attending qualityand standardisation meetings.
  • Practicalexperience of ensuring health & safety requirements are metin your area of responsibility.
  • Soundunderstanding of NonTechnical Skills (NTS) and how they are usedwithin safety criticaltasks.
