Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and configure Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), including PA-Series, VM-Series, and Panorama, to meet the security requirements of our clients. Develop and implement firewall policies, security rules, and access controls based on industry best practices and security standards. Perform ongoing monitoring, management, and optimization of Palo Alto firewall configurations to ensure effective threat prevention and network security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Palo Alto firewalls with other security technologies, such as SIEM solutions, threat intelligence platforms, and security automation tools. Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations. Provide technical guidance and expertise to clients and internal teams on Palo Alto Networks firewall features, capabilities, and best practices. Participate in incident response activities, including investigating security incidents, analyzing security logs, and implementing remediation measures. Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and proactively recommend security enhancements and updates to clients. Document firewall configurations, policies, and procedures, and contribute to the development of security documentation, standards, and guidelines. Mentor junior team members and provide training sessions on Palo Alto Networks technologies and security practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in network security, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions. In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto firewall platforms, including PA-Series, VM-Series, and Panorama, and hands-on experience with firewall configuration, policy management, and troubleshooting. Experience with network security best practices, threat prevention mechanisms, and security operations processes. Strong understanding of network fundamentals, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, VLANs, and IP addressing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. Industry certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent certifications in network security and cybersecurity are preferred.
