The RNENT & ED Hospitals (UCLH) are recruiting a Senior Assistant Technical Officer/ Associate Paediatric Audiologist on a permanent basis for hours per week.
Previous experience in Audiology is desirable but not essential. This role will be a great opportunity to work in a team of paediatric audiologists and work alongside multidisciplinary teams.
Paediatric Audiology has undergone a lot of changes throughout the years, and we are looking for an individual who can be part of a team who is keen to improve service delivery.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be assisting in paediatric audiology assessments and performing a variety of tasks including carrying out hearing aid repairs, ordering stock and responding to patient queries and correspondence. There is an opportunity for the post holder to develop their skills and interests in the field of Paediatric Audiology.

Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential
oNVQ level 4 in Customer Care, Healthcare Science or Information Technology, or equivalent o5 GCSEs at grade A* to C, including a science subject, English and Maths, or equivalent oKnowledge of different types and degrees of hearing loss

o2 A levels in science / maths / IT or similar, or equivalent
Experience

oExperience in a customer care environment oExperience working with hearing aids and repairs
