Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of an Ecologist in London, UK.

As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for conducting ecological assessments, monitoring surveys, and providing ecological input to a range of projects.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct ecological surveys, including Phase 1 habitat surveys, protected species surveys, and ecological impact assessments;
  • Collect and analyze ecological data, and prepare reports and recommendations;
  • Provide ecological input into the development of project designs and mitigation strategies;
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors and ecological teams;
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities on ecological matters;
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines;
  • Contribute to business development and tendering activities.

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field;
  • Experience in conducting ecological assessments and surveys in the UK;
  • Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation, planning policy, and best practice guidelines;
  • Experience in managing and coordinating ecological teams and subcontractors;
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Full UK driving license;
  • Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIEEM) is desirable.
