Surrounded by 100 acres of Oxfordshire countryside, Soho Farmhouse is a destination for food and drink, wellness and outdoor activities. Two hours' drive or a short train from London, we have 114 bedrooms, including cabins, huts and farmhouse bedrooms to stay in, a state-of-the-art gym, Cowshed Spa, an indoor and outdoor pool and cinema. We have multiple food and beverage outlets on site, The Main Barn is the central hub, serving the club menu all day. On the mezzanine, Comfy Farm has sofas and an open fire place, while Fancy Farm is a more formal setting for lunch or dinner. The Role... 

We are seeking an experienced Events Ops Assistant to join our team at Soho Farmhouse (OX7 4JS). The Events Operations Assistant is involved in providing exemplary service during various events and functions. Events Operations Assistant play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a positive and enjoyable experience.

Main Duties...

  • Greeting and assisting guests in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Setting up and maintaining banquet or event tables, serving food and beverages, and clearing dishes in a timely and efficient manner. Effectively communicating with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other service team members to coordinate the smooth flow of the event. Paying close attention to details such as table settings, food presentation, and ensuring that guests' requests and preferences are met. Quickly addressing any issues or challenges that may arise during the event, such as handling special dietary requests or resolving guest concerns. Collaborating with other event staff, including servers, bartenders, and event coordinators, to ensure seamless execution of the event. Working efficiently to ensure timely service and contribute to the overall success of the event.

What we are looking for in a Events Ops Assistant...

  • 1-2 years' experience in a busy high-profile hospitality venue. Team player who communicates well with all colleagues Punctual, reliable and trustworthy Sense of urgency Yes, yes, yes mentality Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Have a genuine passion for Events as well as F&B Flexible and available to work both opening and closing shifts when required including weekends and late nights.

Expected working hours for a Events Ops Assistant:

  • Varying shift times across the seven days, to include working evenings, weekends, opens & closes  Average hours 32-45 hours per week
