About the role:

At Next we have a great opportunity for a REVIT Technician to join our Shopfitting team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. In this role you will ensure that the company’s approved design standards, details and concepts are maintained and implemented correctly across all store and brand formats. You will interface with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure operational and functional requirements are delivered.

This role is accountable for all regional/functional drawing/visualisation and stakeholder coordination work to support the store design process from zonal planning to As Built stage. This role is based 4 days per week at our Head Office in Leicestershire with 1 day per week working from home.

 

You will:

Complete drawing work required from feasibility through to the as built stage of the store development process. Maintain drawing standards as outlined for the department. Implement design and technical standards as outlined by the design team. Engage with Internal stakeholders to ensure operational and visual requirements are achieved. Engage with external parties to ensure technical coordination of a project (lighting, M&E, HVAC etc). Conducts site visits throughout the project to better understand the intricacies of the development. Complete presentation material for various meetings throughout the development process to a defined standard (capex, regional reviews, project surgeries etc). Ensure designs are practical and adhere to current H&S guidelines interfacing with our H&S teams to gain approval on any newly delivered propositions. Includes fixtures, finishes, and bespoke design elements. Interface with project managers to ensure proposals are commercially viable and technically deliverable. Create visuals to better communicate concepts and space planning proposals. Accurately measure square footage for usage throughout the development process. Attend regional/functional meetings to support the development process Prepare and co-ordination of drawings and specifications which will support tendering and approval by external statutory bodies and Landlords.  Update photo archive of retail environments, for either the visual retailing database or for tool development.

Demonstrates advanced skills in REVIT usage to an architectural standard Ability to design, space plan and interpret design concepts to achieve optimum store layout with a good standard of architectural technical knowledge and expertise Excellent communications skills both written and verbal Capable of working under pressure Able to plan and organise own workload within defined timescales Excellent stakeholder management both internal and external Able to anticipate, identify and solve problems Able to adapt rapidly and positively to changing priorities and work demands
