Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Learning: Assisting teachers in delivering lessons, working with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning.
  • Classroom Management: Helping manage student behavior, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Resource Preparation: Preparing materials and resources needed for lessons, such as worksheets and displays.
  • Supporting Special Needs: Providing targeted support for students with special educational needs or disabilities.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assisting with tasks like marking work, record-keeping, and organizing classroom resources.

 

Job Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children as a teaching assistant
  • Relevant Level 2 or above qualifications in education, childcare, or special education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
