Our Research and Technology teams play a key role in ensuring we are identifying new product applications and technology opportunities as well as continually developing our existing product range.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a R&T Specialist in the Sun Care team at our Ditton site. We are looking for an experienced, hands on and enthusiastic specialist to research and develop new products or improve our existing products for our Global sun care portfolio (Personal Care).
In this role you will collaborate internally and externally to identify, invent and develop innovative technologies and generate fundamental scientific understanding. You will design and carry out suitable experiments focusing on colloidal science and particle design of metal oxides, such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in powder and dispersion form. This will involve working within a broad technical and commercial community and taking chemistry from concept to commercialization. You will use your excellent knowledge of colloidal chemistry and particle design to conduct and generate new innovative, sustainable, high-performance products for the sun care market.

Essentials:
Able to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems and adapt to changing project requirements
You will be an effective communicator, capable of building effective working relationships and working well as part of a team
Product Development, Scale-up and Delivery Knowledge
Excellent project management, time planning and organisation skills
You should hold a PhD in a relevant research area or five years industrial experience
Desirables:
Experienced in the generation and exploitation of intellectual property
