are seeking a highly numerate, inquisitive, and
proactive individual for the newly created role of Commercial Finance
Analyst to join our Finance Team.

CONTRACT AND PAY RATE

This hybrid role caries a permanent contract
for 40 hours, working office hours onsite in our Manchester hotel with the
option of working up to two days a week from home. The gross annual pay rate,
dependent on the candidate, ranges from £33,000 to £36,000.



PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

This role directly will directly report to
the Head of Commercial Finance for the group.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Analyse
    financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning
    and forecasting.
  • Business
    partner with the Operations teams responsible for identifying opportunities for
    growth and performance improvement.
  • Weekly
    performance review – diagnose weekly performance and provide insight-led recommendations.
  • Collaborating
    with senior management on the key tactical and organisational areas of
    budgeting and control, CAPEX, people and resource management.
  • Apply
    technologies to visualise data clearly and effectively.
  • Be fully
    capable to scope, build and maintain reporting dashboards including: Energy
    consumption metrics and Food and Beverage metrics i.e., sales mix, covers and
    hourly sales.
  • Compile the
    weekly/monthly revenue and sales reports, supporting the generation of
    analytical reports and delivery of presentations.
  • Ensure business
    understands and delivered against KPIs.
  • Working
    closely with the Data Analyst to enhance and streamline the reporting processes
    through automation.
  • Adhere to
    General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to the strictest of measures in
    accordance to the Company’s GDPR policy.
  • Liaising with
    the accounts teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Other analysis
    or tasks as requested by the Head of Commercial Finance, Financial Controller
    or Finance Director.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS



Successful
candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to
be part of our team. The successful applicant will have/be:

  • Ideally 12 months experience within a similar
    role.
  • A strong desire to attain / continue a
    professional Finance qualification e.g. CIMA / ACCA [beneficial]
  • Advanced analytical skills (excel), experience
    in preparing analysis, delivering insight and turning this into
    recommendations. [required[
  • Strong
    communication skills to liaise with finance and non-finance stakeholders  [required]
  • Working experience
    in a hospitality or retail setting [beneficial]
  • Be task oriented
    with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail [required]
  • Demonstrably
    effective communications skills, able to work well within teams across the
    business, collaborating with different business functions [required]
  • Hold a finance
    based degree or similar qualifications [beneficial]
  • Will and able to
    work onsite, at Dakota Hotel in Manchester three days a week [required]
  • High level of
    numeracy and the ability to spot trends, discrepancies, and opportunities
    within complex data sets [required]
  • Have a proactive
    and problem-solving attitude [required]
